Women's basketball training was first introduced in Gorzów in 1957 at the multi-sport club ZKS Stilon. Since then, women’s basketball in Gorzów has developed as follows:
- 1957-1998 – ZKS “STILON”
- 1998-2001 – KS “Gorzowskie Towarzystwo Koszykówki” [Gorzów Basketball Association]
- 2001-present – KS AZS PWSZ (since 2004, the first team has been playing in Poland’s top league).
